We're really pleased with the site. It allows us to communicate a wealth of information clearly, whilst the look of the site remains uncluttered and easy on the eye...

The Old Bailey Online is a fully searchable digitised collection of all surviving editions of the Old Bailey Proceedings from 1674 to 1834. A fully searchable online edition of the largest body of texts detailing the lives of non-elite people ever published, containing accounts of over 100,000 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court.

The new website, launched in May 2008, now includes all 200,000 trial reports published between 1674 and 1913. The main aim in redesigning the site was to bring the design technically and visually up to date with the latest web standards. I worked closely with the Old Bailey Online team to modernise the site design and layout and produce a series of standards compliant templates for the revised site build.
